Welcome to Bethlehem Restaurant, a culinary gem nestled at 3 Wynnefield Rd, Rathmines, Dublin. With a mission to bring the authentic flavors of Palestinian cuisine to Dublin, this newly expanded eatery is making waves among both locals and tourists alike. As I step inside, I am greeted by warm hospitality and an ambiance that transports diners into a charming, time-honored setting. The decor reflects the rich cultural tapestry of Palestine, setting the stage for a remarkable dining experience.
From the first bite, it’s clear that the chefs at Bethlehem Restaurant are passionate about their craft. The menu boasts a variety of dishes, with many customers raving about the Mskhaan roll, a delightful combination of tender chicken and spices wrapped in a warm flatbread. Patrons have praised its explosion of flavors, cementing it as a must-try for first-time visitors. And let’s not forget the hummus, which has been described as "incredible" – creamy, rich, and made fresh daily, it pairs perfectly with their selection of warm, fluffy pita bread.
The vegan and vegetarian options also shine, with dishes that cater to a wide range of dietary preferences without compromising authenticity. A highlight from many reviews includes the kefta, which has left diners reminiscing about its perfect seasoning long after the meal has ended. And for the adventurous food lover, the Maklouba—a vibrant rice dish accompanied by smoked eggplant and vegetables—offers a unique blend of flavors that is hard to resist.
Special mention goes to the Kunafa, often hailed as the "showstopper" of the menu. This handcrafted dessert features a delightful combination of crispy pastry with sweet syrup and melted cheese, prompting one customer to declare it the best in Dublin. It’s an embodiment of culinary artistry that is clearly made with love.
In addition to the food, the warm, friendly service enhances the overall experience at Bethlehem Restaurant. Customers have described the staff as "kind and helpful," adding that their attentiveness complements the vibrant dining atmosphere.
While there may be comments regarding the seating arrangements, the overall energy of the restaurant is alive with happy diners enjoying a flavorful journey through Palestine. “ First time in Dublin and we’re lucky to dine in their new opening after expansion. The food was absolutely delicious, packed with flavors. The Mskhaan roll was some of the best I have ever had, hummus was incredible. Everything was just delicious. Can’t wait to come back to this spot when back in Dublin! ”
“ Amazing place!!! Highly recommended, food is fresh and delicious, the staff is very friendly and helpful, must try the lemonade ”
“ I can't explain the joy I felt dining there! The food was truly spectacular. The ambiance was also amazing, it felt like a little time capsule outside Dublin. My friend had many vegetarian options to go for and was happy that all of them were still very authentically Palestinian. I can't recommend the kefta enough, that was seasoned to perfection, we still talk about it! Our kunafa was homemade, cheese included. Our waitress was also incredibly kind and helpful. Thank you for such a wonderful dinner, I will be chasing that high for a while! حرروا فلسطين ”
“ I stopped off here on a hot Saturday afternoon just as they were opening. My first Palestinian meal and both the starters and main dish were delicious...very wholesome comforting food...the chicken lovely and tender. Service was excellent from the affable lady who served me. ???????? ???????? ”
“ Maklouba- ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I never tried grill chicken with rice that is made with smoked eggplant & veggies. Not spicy but flavours on point! Highly recommended Mix grill- ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lamb chops was amazing! Other grill items also good but the chicken was overcooked and dry..recommended Both of these comes with fresh salad and dip. Arabian coffee-⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stronger than esspresso.I loved the presentation and after taste ( nutty taste) Kunafa- ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This was a showstopper!!! Best Kunafa in Dublin so far. They lanuched it today,so its not in the menu. The cheese inside balances out sugar syrup poured on top. Crispy sweet outside, cheesy crey inside. Amazing Overall food was greaaat! On a weekday night it was houseful, and even after reservation we got a table close to kichen and toilet. One thing I didn’t like is the sitting arrangement and space. Chairs and tables filling up the space, living barely any space to walk for two waiters. Although loved the tent like celling and dimmed light ambience. ”
“ Amazing food, really good service. The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff is really welcoming and friendly. And the food was the best part, it was affordable and yummy. I would recommend trying it out with a 10/10 rating! ”
“ "Delicious food with an explosion of flavors! Such a great place with a lovely atmosphere. The service was absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their delicious dishes!" ”
“ One of the best restaurants in Dublin! The service, food and warm atmosphere were all second to none. Our waitress gave personalised food recommendations and offered modifications for dietary requirements, she also made clear that any and all questions were welcome. As for the portion sizes, the value for money was extremely good. I will definitely be back! ”
